Monza Brown - 6NA

Yes Madison Reed Radiant Hair Color Kit is a permanent hair color formulated for 100% gray coverage, including resistant and stubborn grays.

For especially hard-to-cover grays, our Knockout shades (identified by 'NNN' or 'NNA' and a '.5' in the level) deliver extra pigment for maximum coverage. A small number of vivid shades are designed for color impact rather than gray coverage; these are noted in the product details and do not include an 'N' in the shade name. Not sure which to pick? It's salon-quality you apply at home. Madison Reed Radiant Hair Color uses the same permanent formula applied by professional colorists at Madison Reed Hair Color Bars — the difference is you apply it yourself.

Crafted in Italy with micro-pigment technology for natural-looking depth and dimension (not the flat, one-tone result common with traditional box dye), the ammonia-free formula is infused with keratin, argan oil, and ginseng root extract to nourish hair during the coloring process.

Permanent color can lighten your natural, uncolored hair by up to two levels. However, color cannot lift color, meaning it won't lighten hair that's already been dyed.

If your hair is currently colored and you want to go lighter, our Prime for Perfection treatment can help gradually fade and lighten your hair by about half a level. You can use it 2–3 times for cumulative lightening — a gentler, more controlled alternative to color removers or bleach.

No - and doing so can make your color go too dark or muddy over time. Apply permanent color to your roots only at each touch-up, then refresh mid-lengths and ends with a Color Reviving Gloss.

This is exactly how professional colorists handle salon touch-ups: it keeps your overall color balanced without over-processing the lengths.

Madison Reed permanent hair color lasts until new growth appears, with most people touching up roots every 4–6 weeks.

To extend vibrancy between applications, use a color-protecting shampoo and conditioner ColorSolve, and refresh tone with our Color Therapy Hair Mask, a deep-conditioning hair mask that doubles as a color refresh.
